We recommend starting your wedding dance lessons 3–6 months before your wedding to build comfort and confidence. Beginning earlier—6–12 months in advance—allows more time to choose the perfect song, personalise choreography, and ensure your dance feels smooth and relaxed. Starting early will always give you the time to prepare and ensure your ideal dance on your special day.

2. Do We Need Dance Experience?

Absolutely not! Many of our couples are total beginners. Our instructors specialise in working with beginners, guiding you through each step at a comfortable pace. We break down movements into easy-to-follow segments, focusing on building your confidence in a relaxed, supportive environment. 😊

3. What If We Don’t Have a Song Yet?

The number of lessons for your First Dance depends on the style, complexity and desired look of your chosen dance. On average, many couples need the following amount of time to achieve:

• Simple & Elegant: Around 12 hours for a graceful dance.
• Confident & Comfortable: 16 – 18 hours for mastery of moves.
• Flowing & Polished: 20 – 33 hours for a seamless, natural performance.

Starting early and allowing plenty of practice time ensures you’ll feel confident and relaxed on the dance floor, without last-minute stress.

6. How Much Should We Practise?

Consistency is key! Even just 1–2 minutes of daily practice on basic moves at home will help you feel more at ease with each step. Make it fun by practising during a TV commercial or even in the kitchen together while cooking dinner.

7. What Should We Wear to Lessons?

Wear comfortable clothing and, eventually, shoes similar to what you’ll wear on the day. Closer to your wedding, practising in your actual wedding shoes and dress during our sessions helps ensure confidence.

An ideal routine lasts 2.5 mins – A full song—long enough to shine without losing your guests’ attention. A shorter routine lets you focus on perfecting each move for a memorable performance.
